This project was developed as part of my studies in Industrial Design at university, where the topic to be addressed was the design of mechanisms in everyday objects. The requirements for the rotisserie included adjustable height and the use of moving parts. With this idea as a basis, we tried to take advantage of the function of folding to also offer a different use of the grill in its short stature mode, thinking of its use over a table. Proceso de diseño

To arrive at this design, we began by researching similar products, that is, existing grills, and how these have solved grill lifting systems. This, under the guidance of the professor, helped us analyze what already existed, on our way to seek innovative solutions. The project requirements were defined (adjustable height grill and folding body). In exploration, sketches of ideas were made for both the mechanism and the shape of the spit. Personally inspired by the most compact grills (like one that I have myself, which must be used on a table due to its low height), the idea arose that it would have both a standard height and a lower one so that it could be Use with or without a support table. Cardboard mockups were made at a 1:5 and 1:1 scale to analyze shape and proportions, taking into account anthropometric measurements for an adult user, between 20 - 35 years of age. Having approved the final dimensions, a prototype was made with carbon steel, and with which the reception in operation and dimensions was quite positive. A stability analysis was also carried out both on paper and physically with the prototype, and it was found that it is quite stable due to the weight distribution given its materials.

It combines the best of compact and regular-sized grills, offering greater versatility and comfort in use for any terrain or situation.

This product is seen as a disruption to common garden grills, offering variety in its height to be used as a regular-sized or compact tabletop grill, but at the same time having complete functions that smaller models do not usually include. such as the adjustable height, the ash tank or the tables. It is hoped that the ideas in this proposal will open doors for similar products, more versatile grills. Good performance is expected in the market by distinguishing itself as a different and interesting option, which attracts attention for its form and functions in an economical product.
