Para qué sirve
Allows you to organize office items, stay away from technology and learn to manage time through an interactive system of reminders , allows you to Improve your fine motor skills and visualize tasks in an organized way
Qué te inspiró
My inspiration to create Reclock comes from my own experience. Despite jotting down my tasks on a pencil or phone, I always felt confused, procrastinated seeing so many to-dos, and found it difficult to prioritize what to do first and what was most important. In talking to others, I found that they had similar problems, from children and young people to older adults. Many of them mentioned that they used more visual schemes or systems to organize themselves better. This understanding led me to design a system that not only made it easier to manage tasks clearly and effectively. but also to be visual and interactive,
Cómo funciona
Most people require visually ordered sensory stimuli to clear their mind and remember with ease, especially people with ADD, Autism, Children and Older Adults. RE-CLOCK's interactive nature helps people feel in control of what's going on in their lives, and its minimalist aesthetic and organizational features for office objects allow people to clear their minds, and stay focused on what they need to do. The device features a clock with orbits representing the days of the week (without weekend), each with holes for every hour where colored wooden balls can be placed. These balls, color-coded (green for low priority, yellow for important, and red for urgent), help users visually prioritize their tasks. When the time to perform a task approaches, the clock indicates it, ensuring users stay on track. While performing their activities, the phone is left on the reclock tray.
Proceso de diseño
The Reclock design process began with field research, looking at the tastes and needs of people in my city. I conducted interviews to better understand the needs of my target audience, focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and ease of use, as well as visual task management. Then, I presented the progress of my sketches to a physiotherapist friend who works with people with ADD and ASD, who suggested that the design could also improve fine motor skills and that color-sorting tasks would be especially useful. With their observations, I improved the design and ergonomics of the product. Subsequently, I digitally modeled the design, chose the right materials, and waited for the project to be approved at the university. Once approved, I made 13 functional prototypes using manual technology and participated in a sales exercise where I managed to sell some of these prototypes.
Qué lo hace diferente
Unlike traditional methods such as writing down reminders in a notebook, cell phone, it offers a comprehensive solution that combines the clear and orderly visualization of tasks with tangible interactivity, helping people with ADD, autism, children and older adults (in addition to the general public) to better organize and maintain focus. Its minimalist and functional design not only prevents distractions, but also includes a tray to leave the phone, promoting concentration on tasks. In addition, Reclock improves fine motor skills by manipulating its priority-coded colored balls, providing an ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing tool that makes time management easier
Planes para el futuro
I would like to contact a school that can purchase the prototypes I already have at an affordable price, allowing them to test them over a period of time. With the feedback gained from using the product for at least a year, you could make significant improvements to its design and functionality. Subsequently, my goal is to contact a sponsor interested in the project to be able to start marketing the product, thus bringing it to a wider audience and helping more people to manage their tasks effectively.
