It can help the user to create its favourite cocktails by simply pressing some butons and letting the machine do a ll the work automatically with the predefined settings or also in a manual manner but with a very high precission
Qué te inspiró
I wanted to buy a machine that had a similar functionality that the one given by a coffee machine, in which the user only have to press certain butons and provide the ingrediants, so that the machine can prepare the specified coffee automatically, but that is able to prepare differents and as I did not find anyone I decided to start this proiect, adding additional functionalities to design, as the manual mode where the users can prepare their own cocktails as they prefer in case thex do not like the predefined preparations, as well as a LCD screen willbe displaying the next steps to be done and current states.
Cómo funciona
The logic will be contoled by a microcontroller which will receive the signals from the push buttons that define what the user wants to prepare and then will send a signal to a module of relays which will be connected as well to the different pumps that have hoses that reaches the different liquids inside the bottles. This signal willenergize the pumps for the certain amount of time to make the desired mixtures, and in case the user wants a different from the ones predefined, the manual mode will let prepare it by keeping on pressing the buttons to let the machine pour the respective liquids as long as the buttons are pressed and achieving with this a custom cocktalil. The different options of concentrations in the automatic mode will define the amount of time that each pump have to be activated, to madify the taste and final mixture of the cocktails.
Proceso de diseño
I started landing the idea, defining objetives and a WBS to have a betetr idea of how to approach the design of this product. After that, I continued with the mechanical design using a CAD software to define how the future manufacturing will be done and prioritazing the easy of assembly The first design had to be modified, because the dimension were verx limited and the implementation of the electronics would have been very hard , so the original design had to be scaled up. Using this CAD design, the planes and files for a laser cutter were generated and will be use to obtain the different parts and componentes of the structure. The electric design was the next phase and in this, the different connections and components were defined and will be used as reference when the physical prototype is built and, the last phase was programming the logic that will control all the actuators and timers.
Qué lo hace diferente
Even though it has a similar functionality to a typicall and wellestabilished in the market coffee machine, this new idea provides a different approach and market, as the final beverages are completelly difterent and have the opportunity to adopt a various range of markets and not only as a in-house tech gadget, because this product can also be sold to restaurants, bars, hotels, and much other areas where it can be very useful to the people that work there. Having the possibility to operate the machine automatically or manually also makes it difterent and unigue when comparing it to other similar products.
Planes para el futuro
An improxement to the design is also needed, where LED lights can be added to make it more attractive. A further analysis needs to be done before starting to sell the products, as well as various quality testing to ensure a smooth operation , and a rental startegy can be implemented where the machines are given for a cetain time for special events. Also, commercial alliances with restaurants, bars and retail shops can be crucial in the initial stages
